Wilmington, DE . The right candidate will possess extensive experience in data warehousing, specifically with Oracle databases, and will be skilled in retrieving and manipulating data using ETL processes and advanced SQL techniques. A proven history of building Data Marts in accordance with Inmon data warehousing principles is essential. You should be able to rapidly understand complex database models, star schema architecture, and immediately contribute to the development of Data Marts, complex SQL tasks, business-requested reporting, data extracts, loads, stored procedures, and interfaces. What You'll Do Engineer and develop Data Mart solutions. Create, refine, and optimize complex SQL scripts. Develop and maintain custom SQL-based reports. Manage complex data models effectively. Create and sustain data interfaces (scripted ETL) between our on-premise Oracle environment and the Azure-based MS SQL Server platform. Build and maintain Oracle Data Marts along with their respective ETL processes, capable of hard coding ETL in native SQL. Leverage advanced skills in Oracle SQL Loader for efficient data loading from files into Oracle databases. Import and Export data between SQL Server/Oracle XML and CLOB Queries while converting data into compliant Oracle tables. Conduct XML queries and devise XML to Relational data models alongside ETL processes. What You'll Need Required: At least 7 years of experience in Data Engineering. BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. In-depth knowledge of Inmon data warehousing principles and business intelligence data architecture. Proficient with Data Modeling Normal Forms, Diagramming, Fact and Dimension modeling, and Inmon concepts. Basic Oracle knowledge including database files, table spaces, and data warehousing performance challenges. Extensive expertise in Oracle SQL programming and query manipulation. Experience working with MS SQL Server databases. Ability to analyze and manage large datasets and troubleshoot data-related issues. Proficient in MS Word and Excel, with the ability to create presentation-level documents and utilize pivot tables. Extensive experience in data profiling and assurance of data quality, including the creation of audit trails for peer reviews. Background in industry accounting support is essential, with a proven ability in reconciliations and audits. Strong skills in query tuning for optimal performance. Capacity to collaborate with business users to translate reporting requests into actionable deliverables. Demonstrated professional demeanor, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to engage effectively with both business partners and technical teams. Capability to defend and explain data analysis efforts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with MS SSIS. Understanding of data conformity for reporting and the ability to identify and resolve data conformity challenges. Strong time-management skills. A sense of ownership and pride in personal performance and its impact on team success. BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject is required. Physical Demands Ability to perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA and other relevant standards. Sedentary work that involves remaining stationary for long periods, with occasional movement around the office for meetings. Capability to conduct repetitive tasks using a computer, including a mouse, keyboard, and monitor. Salary range: $130,000 - $150,000, based on factors such as location, experience, and education.
