We are seeking a motivated Distribution Center Associate to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our distribution center. Your responsibilities will include receiving and processing inbound shipments, picking and packing orders accurately, stocking shelves, and preparing goods for outbound delivery. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork and productivity. Maintaining a safe working environment is a top priority; you will be expected to follow all Safety procedures and utilize appropriate PPE at all times. This role requires physical stamina, including regular Lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming inventory.
- Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications.
- Replenish stock on warehouse shelves and storage locations.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
- Adhere to all company Safety regulations and policies.
- Wear and properly use all required PPE .
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our Logistics operations.
- Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and Lifting throughout the shift.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and Logistics flow.
- Commitment to adhering to Safety standards and wearing PPE .
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
