Our New York City, New York facility is looking for an efficient and reliable Order Picker to join our dedicated logistics team. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in fulfilling customer orders by accurately retrieving items from our warehouse inventory. Your primary responsibilities will include using scanning devices to locate and pick products, ensuring order accuracy, and preparing items for the packing and shipping stages. This position requires a high degree of accuracy, speed, and the ability to navigate a busy warehouse environment. You must be comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting and moving products, and adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing station or designated staging area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Operate manual equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Understand and follow warehouse logistics and workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Comfortable standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
