We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our Raleigh, North Carolina location. This role goes beyond basic warehousing, involving the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of warehouse equipment and systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on machinery, diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions, and ensuring all warehouse operations run smoothly. Your expertise will be crucial in minimizing downtime and supporting our overall logistics network. This position requires a strong technical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to workplace safety. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to implement improvements and maintain a high standard of operational performance. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment (forklifts, conveyors, automated systems).
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Troubleshoot operational problems within the warehouse.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE at all times.
- Support logistics operations by ensuring equipment availability.
- Recommend improvements to equipment and processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment issues.
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is a plus.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics operations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
