Opportunity awaits a Forklift Operator in our busy Los Angeles, California distribution center. This role is critical for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics network. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory, as well as loading and unloading trucks. Safety is our top priority, and adherence to all company policies, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE, is expected. The ideal candidate will possess excellent operating skills, a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will perform daily equipment checks and report any maintenance needs. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles.
- Conduct pre-shift checks on forklift equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
- Strictly follow all safety regulations and the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational targets.
- Practice safe lifting and material handling techniques.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with verifiable experience.
- Experience in a high-volume warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of logistics operations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong emphasis on safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
