We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our facility in San Jose, California. This dynamic role is crucial for ensuring orders are accurately fulfilled and shipped to our valued customers. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for retrieving items from inventory, accurately packing them according to specifications, and preparing them for dispatch. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order requests.
- Verify product details, quantities, and quality before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently using appropriate shipping materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Transport packed orders to the shipping department or designated staging area.
- Maintain productivity standards and ensure order accuracy.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Conduct inventory checks and assist with stock management as needed.
- Adhere to all company Safety procedures and regulations.
- Wear required PPE consistently.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse work is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Capability of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Understanding of effective logistics and inventory handling practices.
