We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our innovative team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role requires a blend of technical aptitude and hands-on warehouse experience, focusing on maintaining and optimizing our warehouse equipment and systems. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on machinery, ensuring operational continuity. Additionally, you will support general warehouse functions, contributing to the efficient flow of goods and materials. The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical skills, a deep understanding of warehouse operations, and an unwavering commitment to Safety and efficiency. This position is critical for the upkeep of our advanced logistics infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including conveyor systems, forklifts, and automated machinery.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning optimally and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of spare parts.
- Support general warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, and shipping as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of required PPE .
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment when necessary.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.
- Ensure the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics processes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanical or electrical fields preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or in a similar maintenance role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with maintaining industrial machinery and automated systems.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, climbing, and lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and performing repairs.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and wearing appropriate PPE .
