Become an essential part of our operations as a Shipping Clerk in Indianapolis, Indiana! Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments.
- Generate shipping labels and related documentation.
- Verify order accuracy against shipping manifests before dispatch.
- Ensure packages are properly sealed, labeled, and ready for carrier pickup.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate logs of all shipments and update tracking information.
- Communicate effectively with other departments regarding shipment details.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Assist in maintaining an organized and clean shipping area.
- Report any shipping errors or discrepancies to management promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a warehouse environment is beneficial.
- Familiarity with common shipping software and carriers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Capability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
