We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators to join our busy warehouse operations in Sacramento, California. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our logistics facility. You will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and proficiently to load and unload shipments, move inventory, and support overall warehouse productivity. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers accurately and efficiently.
- Transport inventory to and from storage areas and production lines.
- Stack and retrieve goods from high-level racking systems.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all company logistics and safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE.
- Be prepared for tasks that may require Lifting up to 50 lbs when not operating equipment.
- Contribute to a safe and productive warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience (minimum 2 years).
- Proficiency in operating multiple types of forklifts.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and product labels.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Physical capability for occasional manual Lifting.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
