Join our team in Miami, Florida, as an Order Picker! We need dedicated individuals to accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders in our fast-paced distribution center. Your primary responsibility will be to locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanning devices, ensuring accuracy for every order. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations and requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to our high safety standards. Proper use of PPE is mandatory. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for those looking to build a career in warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Use handheld scanners and pick lists to locate and verify items.
- Ensure the correct quantity and type of product are selected for each order.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping station.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to a supervisor.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Operate pallet jacks or other lifting devices as needed.
- Contribute to meeting daily order fulfillment targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math skills for order verification.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
