We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking and preparing customer orders for shipment. This is a critical position within our warehouse operations, ensuring timely and correct fulfillment of all outgoing stock. You will work closely with inventory management systems and fellow warehouse associates to maintain high levels of productivity and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Utilize handheld scanners and other warehouse technology to track inventory movement.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Stage picked orders for quality control and final processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding order status and potential issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety and proper handling of materials.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick tickets and product labels.
- Basic math skills for inventory verification.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Requires consistent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- This role is integral to our Logistics operations.
