Join our busy Richmond, Virginia warehouse as a Picker/Packer! This role is vital for fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse using a scanning device, picking them accurately, and then preparing them for shipment. This involves careful packaging to ensure products arrive safely at their destination. Our logistics process relies on the precision and speed of our pickers and packers. We prioritize a safe working environment and provide all necessary PPE. If you are detail-oriented, have good hand-eye coordination, and enjoy working in a hands-on role, this position is for you. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, but not required for motivated individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets/scanners.
- Verify product codes and quantities.
- Package items securely and efficiently, ensuring product protection.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Stage packed orders for outbound carriers.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding area.
- Assist with inventory checks as needed.
- Operate packing equipment and other warehouse tools safely.
- Adhere to all company safety standards and procedures.
- Utilize provided PPE as required by the work environment.
Requirements:
- Previous picking and packing experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product codes.
- Basic math skills for quantity verification.
- Dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift items up to 35 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and following instructions.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
