We are seeking motivated and efficient Picker/Packers to join our dynamic logistics team in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items for customer orders and securely packing them for shipment. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, speed, and accuracy to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient warehouse operations. You will be an essential part of our order fulfillment process, ensuring that products reach our customers in perfect condition. Your commitment to safety, including proper lifting techniques and the use of appropriate PPE, is critical to your success and the well-being of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using scanning devices or order sheets.
- Inspect picked items for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages accurately for shipment.
- Replenish stock in picking areas as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and assist in keeping the warehouse tidy.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including safe lifting practices.
- Operate packing equipment and material handling devices safely.
- Contribute to meeting daily order fulfillment targets.
- Identify and report any damaged items or discrepancies.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE during work shifts.
- Support the logistics team by ensuring accurate and timely processing of all orders.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Basic understanding of inventory management systems is beneficial.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
