Are you a skilled Forklift Operator with a passion for logistics and efficiency? We are looking for experienced operators to join our dynamic team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise is crucial for maintaining smooth operations within our warehouse and ensuring timely order fulfillment. Safety is our top priority.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with efficiency and precision.
- Store and retrieve inventory from racking systems.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working order.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping activities as needed.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counting.
- Contribute to overall warehouse productivity and operational excellence in our logistics center.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent physical activity, including moderate to heavy Lifting.
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to Safety.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility gear.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
