Nashville, Tennessee is seeking diligent Material Handlers to join our logistics team! This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing materials efficiently and accurately. A strong emphasis on organization, teamwork, and safety is expected. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Sort, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and prepare materials for internal distribution or external shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all established safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the use of required PPE.
- Report any damaged goods, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse logistics.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 45 lbs.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment.
- Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
