We are seeking an energetic and accurate Order Picker for our facility in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled correctly and efficiently. You will be responsible for locating, retrieving, and preparing products from warehouse shelves based on order specifications. Accuracy, speed, and a strong understanding of inventory systems are key. We maintain a high standard for workplace safety, mandating the use of necessary PPE and promoting safe working habits, including proper lifting techniques. This position requires individuals who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using order sheets or scanning devices.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed picking performance standards.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory to supervisors.
- Support the overall logistics and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience with RF scanning equipment is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including frequent bending, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace safety and correct use of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
