We are seeking a reliable and energetic Material Handler to join our logistics team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep our warehouse operations running smoothly. This includes receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials and products. You will work with a team to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient movement of goods. A strong understanding of warehouse safety and the ability to handle materials carefully are paramount. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to perform lifting tasks regularly. We are committed to providing a safe workplace and expect all team members to utilize the provided PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and products.
- Pick and pack orders accurately based on customer requirements.
- Stage outgoing shipments for timely delivery.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or discrepancies.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Support overall warehouse logistics by performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is beneficial.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, repeatedly.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
