Join our team as a Picker/Packer in Minneapolis, Minnesota! We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders by picking items and preparing them for shipment. This role is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and correct order delivery. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, locating products, and ensuring that each order is picked, packed, and processed with care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well in a fast-paced environment, and prioritizes safety. We value teamwork and a strong commitment to meeting operational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations based on order forms or scanning devices.
- Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
- Verify order accuracy against customer specifications.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Operate manual warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Contribute to inventory control through accurate picking and reporting of discrepancies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve daily picking and packing targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in a warehouse picking or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Good understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the necessity of PPE.
- Familiarity with basic logistics processes.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
- Excellent time management and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
