Become a vital part of our operations as an Order Picker at our Orlando, Florida distribution center. We need dedicated individuals to efficiently locate, retrieve, and prepare items for customer orders. This role is essential for ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, contributing directly to our company's reputation for excellent service. You will navigate our warehouse using pick lists or scanning devices, meticulously selecting the correct products while maintaining warehouse safety standards. Your accuracy and speed are key to our logistics success. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to customer orders and pick tickets.
- Use scanning equipment to track inventory and ensure order accuracy.
- Inspect items for quality and any potential damage before picking.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipping.
- Maintain productivity standards for picking and order fulfillment.
- Operate manual equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Keep the picking areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Participate in inventory control activities, including cycle counting.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous order picking or warehouse experience is preferred.
- Capability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in fulfilling orders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Familiarity with inventory management principles and logistics operations.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
