We are seeking a diligent Order Picker to join our team in Austin, Texas. As an Order Picker, you will play a vital role in our warehouse logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently assembled. Your primary responsibilities will include using order sheets or electronic scanners to locate and retrieve specific items from warehouse shelves. You will also be responsible for checking picked items for accuracy and quantity, and preparing them for the packing and shipping stages. We are committed to maintaining a safe workplace, so strict adherence to safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This role requires a high level of accuracy, speed, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The position involves considerable walking, standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items according to customer orders using pick lists or scanners.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items and quantities before proceeding.
- Transport picked items to the designated packing or staging area.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the picking zones.
- Follow all warehouse safety guidelines and utilize necessary PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and help maintain stock accuracy.
- Meet or exceed established picking speed and accuracy targets.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
