Border Patrol Agent Job Description

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection is seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to fill the position of Border Patrol Agent.

This role involves protecting America's borders by preventing illegal entry, detecting smuggling activities, and conducting surveillance operations in a dynamic environment that requires quick decision-making skills under pressure.

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws while inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations;


• Preventing unauthorized crossing of international borders through observation from covert positions or utilizing tracking devices during nighttime operations;


• Interpreting signs such as tracks, marks, or other physical evidence left behind by individuals entering illegally;
