Enforcement Officer

A Border Patrol Agent is responsible for safeguarding the country by preventing and deterring illicit activity, while maintaining a strong border security posture. This role requires exceptional decision-making skills, as agents must make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.

• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws
• Analyze evidence to determine citizenship or violations

In this role, you will work closely with law enforcement officials to identify and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders. You will also perform farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks to ensure compliance with federal regulations.

To qualify for this position, you must possess one year of general work experience that demonstrates your ability to take charge and make sound decisions in stressful situations. Alternatively, you can meet the qualification requirement through education or a combination of both.
