Border Patrol Agent (BPA) Overview

The Border Patrol Agent position is a dynamic and challenging opportunity to contribute to the safety and security of our nation. As a member of this elite team, you will be responsible for patrolling international borders, detecting and preventing illegal entries, and enforcing immigration laws.

• Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws


• Inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations


• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens at or near the border through surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations
