To thrive in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Experience: 2+ years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD.
- Subjects: Familiarity with teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
- Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references.
- Location: Must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK.
- Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding practices and creating a safe learning environment.
As a SEND Tutor or Teacher, you will:
- Provide in-person, online, or hybrid tuition in Maths, English, or Science to children and young people with SEMH and SEND needs.
- Support pupils from KS1 to KS5 by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
- Plan lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
