We are a growing commercial flooring company in the GTA, specializing in commercial tile, resilient flooring, carpet.
The owner handles all project execution — we are hiring a senior estimator to run the estimating process independently and actively grow opportunities for the company.

What We're Looking For
A senior commercial flooring estimator who:
• Has minimum 3 years commercial flooring estimating experience
• Works full-time, 5–6 days/week, 8 hours/day
• Handles everything independently: drawings, specifications, site visits, material & labour take-offs, bid preparation, and submissions
• Estimates full scopes under CSI Divisions 03 & 09 (tile, polished concrete, resilient flooring, carpet, floor prep, accessories)
• Reviews tender invitations, prioritizes bids strategically, and ensures timely submission
• Actively grows opportunities by:
• Securing new bidder lists from general contractors , architects and consultants
• Negotiating bid submissions with general contractors who haven't initially invited our company
• Sets up supplier pricing, negotiates quotes, and manages cost databases
• Works exclusively for our company (no competing flooring work)

You will estimate jobs such as:
• Retail & tenant fit-outs
• Condominiums & high-rise residential
• Offices & small commercial buildings
• Healthcare & retirement facilities
• Multi-family housing
• Small-scale infrastructure projects
Initial focus: jobs in the $50k–$150k range due to available capital.

Compensation
• Base: $5,000–$6,000 / month (gross, contractor)
• Performance bonus: 1% of awarded contract value, paid when first invoice received
Growth potential: As revenue increases, base pay and bonus opportunities will grow.

Requirements
• Minimum 3 years independent commercial flooring estimating experience
• Proficient with PlanSwift (required)
• Familiar with Procore, BuildingConnected, SmartBid, Construct Connect or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of commercial flooring materials, suppliers, and pricing
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to make independent decisions with no supervision
• Must be proactive in expanding bid opportunities
• Must be able to work remotely, manage own workspace, and attend site visits as required
