WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Maintain and manage controlled documents, including SOPs, work instructions, forms, engineering documents, and quality records.
- Oversee document creation, revision, approval workflows, and archival processes in accordance with company standards.
- Ensure all documentation meets applicable regulatory, safety, and quality requirements for manufacturing operations.
- Administer and update document records within SAP, ensuring accurate version control, data integrity, and traceability.
- Support Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and HR teams by providing timely access to controlled documents and records.
- Monitor document lifecycle dates and coordinate periodic reviews with process owners to ensure documentation remains current.
- Train employees on document control procedures, standards, and system usage.
- Prepare, retrieve, and organize required documentation to support internal and external audits.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive company and customer information.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to document management, compliance, and standardization.
- Own the setup and maintenance of parts within SAP, including material master data, routings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Assist in the overall administration and improvement of the Document Control System.
- Create, update, and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs) and related process documentation.
- Identify and optimize processes to improve efficiency, enhance product quality, and reduce waste.
- Provide cross‑functional support to Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
YOU HAVE:
- Technologist diploma an asset or relevant work experience.
- Minimum 2 years of working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ideally, proficient use of SAP and Document Control System (ie:Enovia).
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation (product drawings & standards)
- Excellent organization skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required for daily interaction with internal and external personnel.
- Excellent time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written/verbal and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient using the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
- Working knowledge of 3D Design Softwares (AutoCad, Solidworks, etc.) an asset.
