Recovery Worker Location: Canterbury Salary: £24,000 per annum Vacancy Type: Permanent Advertising End Date: 04 Mar 2026 About The Role We’re looking for a passionate, driven Recovery Worker to join our integrated healthcare team on a Full Time (35 Hours) basis delivering high-quality psychosocial drug and alcohol interventions for adults. This is more than a job, it’s an opportunity to support individuals on their recovery journey using client-centred, evidence-based approaches that balance harm reduction and abstinence, tailored to individual need. You’ll manage a dynamic caseload, delivering structured 1:1 and group interventions while working collaboratively across healthcare, housing, probation, employment and community services to ensure holistic support. You’ll play a key part in achieving service targets, measuring outcomes, and maintaining high standards of care, quality, and compliance. What You’ll Be Doing * Conducting risk, initial and comprehensive assessments * Developing and reviewing person-centred care plans * Delivering structured 1:1 sessions and group programmes * Providing harm reduction advice and health risk management * Coordinating care with healthcare and partner agencies * Supporting clients with housing, benefits, employment and training referrals * Monitoring progress and reviewing treatment plans * Meeting KPIs and contributing to service performance targets * Maintaining high-quality case management documentation (including NDTMS reporting) * Participating in audits, safeguarding processes, and reflective supervision What We’re Looking For * Experience working with substance misuse and complex needs * Strong assessment and case management skills * Confidence delivering group-work and structured programmes * Ability to build effective multi-agency partnerships * Strong IT and record-keeping skills * A proactive, solution-focused mindset * Commitment to safeguarding, quality, and continuous professional development You’ll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team where reflective supervision, strong line management support and continuous professional development are prioritised.
