To continue providing our customers with the best solutions, we are looking for a Software Engineer (fixed-term contract for 6 months starting in April – 100%) (the use of the masculine gender also covers the feminine gender).Your missionYou will evolve within the design office in Bex, as part of a project team from feasibility to market launch. You will contribute to the development of new products by designing technical solutions with the help of our experts in mechanics, electronics, and software.YouWith a solid experience in mechanical engineering and analytics, and a minimum of X years of experience, you feel ready to join a dynamic and passionate team to best meet the needs of internal and external customers. You are prepared to enter the world of cable laying to launch future products and strengthen our position as a leader.Responsibilities- Participate in the development of a new product closely with the project team, from the prototype phase to the first industrial version.- Design, develop, and maintain reusable software libraries (internal standards, functional blocks, drivers, abstraction modules).- Define and structure the software architecture of the control-command (3, IO-Link, safety).- Program Beckhoff under 3 (ST, functional blocks, internal libraries).- Integrate IO-Link modules (sensors, actuators, masters) and validate their behavior within the implemented system architecture and test control solutions in compliance with machine safety standards (ISO, IEC).- Collaborate with software teams for real-time exchanges via ADS or internal protocols.- Participate in the definition of software tools in connection with the R&D team, mechanical and electrical teams.- Conduct unit tests, system tests, and functional tests of the prototype.- Document modules, architectures, and technical decisions to ensure the sustainability of developed libraries.- Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, methods, and good practices (Git, CI/CD, testing).Profile- Higher education in industrial systems or a related field (Bachelor HES or equivalent diploma appreciated).- Proven experience in software development applied to industrial environments.- Good mastery of Beckhoff / 3, functional blocks, and library development. Knowledge of socket and IO-Link technologies, sensors/actuators.- Skills in C/C++ (industrial PC, embedded Linux, real-time), a plus for advanced software component development.- Knowledge or interest in machine safety (ISO, PL, SIL).- Good basics in reading electrical schematics and understanding machine architectures.- Familiarity with modern software development methodologies: Git, branch workflows, CI/CD, technical testing, willingness to learn, and desire to work on modern technologies and products.- Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team (software, mechanical, electronics).- Fluent in French; technical English (min.
