The Opportunity

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the efficient and accurate flow of materials, goods, and documentation through the facility. This role ensures all inbound and outbound shipments are received, verified, and processed in compliance with company and Health Canada standards. Acting as a key link between vendors, carriers, and internal teams, the Shipper/Receiver maintains an organized and safe dock environment, coordinates logistics schedules, unloads trucks, and supports the seamless movement of materials to keep operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do

Receiving, Verification & Documentation

  • Physically verify and receive pallets, closing all ERP transactions upon completion.
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices, recording shortages and rejecting damaged goods.
  • Identify package owners, upload respective documents into the ERP, and ensure all receiving and outgoing documentation complies with Health Canada requirements.
  • Take full ownership of the Return to Vendor (RTV) process, including verification, communication, follow-up, and ERP transactions.
  • Perform weekly reconciliations of outbound loads, validate material readiness, and prepare manifests for logistics teams.
  • Dock & Logistics Coordination

  • Greet carriers, vendors, and visitors professionally, ensuring proper check-in, visitor documentation, and a positive experience upon arrival.
  • Work with delivery drivers to schedule and manage dock space availability.
  • Unload incoming trucks safely and efficiently, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders and delivery manifests. Inspect goods for damage, record discrepancies, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Organization, Safety & Team Support

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dock and packhouse, ensuring a professional and safe environment.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members on duties, safety, and company policies
  • OTHER DUTIES

    At Pure Sunfarms, we are all growers at heart. Our plants and processes require in-person care and attention to ensure we're bringing the best our plants and people have to offer to our consumers. This means other duties may arise since we work together to ensure we support all business activities – seed to sale.    

    This role is on-site, which requires you to work in Pure Sunfarms facility at all times in an operating role or directly supporting operations.

    What You Bring

    Education

  • High School Diploma – Post Secondary preferred
  • Experience

  • Prior experience in a reception, customer service, or front-facing role, ideally combined with experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or industrial environment.
  • KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively, managing reception duties while coordinating logistics.
  • Physical capability of lifting 40-50 pounds and working in a standing environment.
  • Strong follow-through, time management, and ability to work under time constraints.
  • Energetic, professional, respectful, and trustworthy demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Must be available for partial weekend work, if required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and pass a RCMP Criminal Record Check and maintain security clearance.
