The Graphic Design Assistant will support the organization's communications and outreach by creating digital and print materials that align with our brand and program objectives. The role is ideal for a student or recent graduate interested in developing practical design experience in a professional, community-focused setting
Key Duties
- In partnership with the Manager, Communications and the Marketing Specialist, design and edit materials such as social media graphics, posters, flyers, web banners, and simple video or animation assets, following existing brand guidelines.
- Adapt and update existing templates and layouts for advocacy, events, and programs, ensuring visual consistency across platforms.
- Prepare files for digital publication and basic print production (appropriate formats, sizes, and resolutions).
- Collaborate with staff to understand project goals, gather content, and translate messages into clear visual concepts.
- Assist with maintaining an organized library of design files, assets, and project documentation and with archiving outdated assets.
