À propos

The Track Design Lead is responsible for leading the design, coordination, and assurance of all permanent way (P-Way) works for the LRT project. This includes alignment design, rail system geometry, track structure, and integration with civil, systems, and rolling stock disciplines. The role ensures that all track-related designs are optimized for safety, ride comfort, constructability, and maintainability while meeting applicable standards and operational performance requirements.
Lead and manage the end-to-end track design process for the LRT alignment, including mainline, depot (OMSF), and turnback sections.
Develop and maintain the Track Design Management Plan, defining design standards, deliverables, and interdisciplinary coordination requirements.
Oversee horizontal and vertical alignment design ensuring compliance with operational speed, sight distance, and safety standards.
Define and verify track geometry, rail cant, curve transition lengths, and turnout layouts.
Manage design of embedded, ballasted, and direct-fixation track structures as applicable to LRT corridor conditions.
Coordinate track-civil interfaces including slab track details, drainage, vibration isolation, and structural clearances.
Interface with Rolling Stock and Systems teams to ensure wheel-rail compatibility, track gauge (1,435 mm), and tolerances meet vehicle requirements.
Collaborate with Power (OCS/TPSS) and Signaling teams to ensure proper integration of track components, grounding, and cable routing.
Review and approve contractor design drawings, technical reports, and construction methodology related to track installation.
Perform constructability reviews to validate installation feasibility, access logistics, and interface with adjacent works.
Develop track material specifications and ensure conformity with relevant railway and transit design standards.
Oversee turnout and crossing design, weld plans, and special trackwork interfaces.
Support vibration and noise mitigation studies through appropriate track form design solutions.
Coordinate with geotechnical and civil teams to validate subgrade performance and track slab stability.
Review as-built designs and support quality assurance of track installation and alignment survey verification.
Provide design support during Testing & Commissioning to ensure alignment tolerances and smooth running quality.
Ensure all track design deliverables meet the required quality, safety, and maintainability standards.
