Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to support application development, UAT, and AWS environment setup as part of a large-scale ERP migration from SAP to Oracle. This role is heavily backend-focused (90%) and involves working with high-volume, production-grade systems integrated with financial and retail operations.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can quickly understand existing systems, work with minimal documentation, and collaborate directly with technical and business stakeholders during live discussions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Python applications, automation scripts, and APIs
Modify and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and integrations
Support transition between legacy APIs and newly designed services
Build, provision, and test AWS environments (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM)
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in newly deployed environments
Support UAT planning and execution, validating functionality with business users
Document test cases, workflows, and issue resolutions
Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and stakeholders via live calls
Participate in daily stand-up meetings and Agile ceremonies
First 30 Days Expectations
Complete onboarding and gain understanding of existing systems and workflows
Assist with API updates and data flow changes
Help stand up and validate AWS environments
Troubleshoot early integration and UAT issues
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong Python programming skills
Clean, efficient, and maintainable code
Experience with core Python (no Flask/Django frameworks used)
Solid experience with PostgreSQL and SQL
Relational database design
Complex queries and performance optimization
Hands-on experience with AWS
EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM
Environment provisioning and deployment support
Experience supporting UAT and production releases
Familiarity with Git-based version control (GitHub/GitLab)
Ability to work independently and dive into existing codebases
Strong communication skills for client-facing technical discussions
Nice to Have
Experience with automation or testing frameworks
Prior involvement in SAP-to-Oracle migrations
Exposure to Oracle databases and API integrations
Some experience with or React (limited frontend usage)
Background in telecom, logistics, or enterprise-scale systems
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Contract duration of more than 6 months.
