We are actively seeking a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this fast-paced role, you will be instrumental in preparing customer orders for shipment. Your responsibilities will include accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order slips and then carefully packing these items into appropriate shipping containers. Efficiency, accuracy, and a strong focus on safety are paramount. This position involves constant movement, the ability to lift and carry items, and the operation of basic warehouse equipment. We are committed to providing a safe work environment and mandate the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations according to order specifications.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping cartons.
- Apply shipping labels and any necessary documentation.
- Stage packed orders for outbound shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and general warehouse area.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous picking and packing experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Team player with good communication skills.
