We are looking for a diligent Picker/Packer to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan! In this role, you will be essential in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for picking items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications and then carefully packing them for shipment. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to quality. You will work within our comprehensive logistics framework, contributing to the smooth flow of goods. Safety is our top priority, and all employees are expected to follow strict Safety protocols and wear the designated PPE. This role involves significant physical activity, including moderate Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations based on order tickets.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Inspect items for any damage before packing.
- Package products securely and efficiently using appropriate materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Stage packed orders for carrier pickup.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock management.
- Follow all Safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
- Contribute to overall warehouse logistics and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker or packer in a warehouse setting is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order tickets and product labels.
- Proficiency in using hand tools for packing (e.g., tape guns).
- Physical ability to perform continuous standing, walking, bending, and Lifting (up to 35 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
