We are looking for a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our bustling warehouse in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a reach truck to move and store materials. This position is vital for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our distribution center. You will play a key part in our logistics operations, requiring precision and a strong commitment to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to move, pick, and store products in high-bay racking systems.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct daily pre-operational checks on the reach truck and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure data integrity.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and safe operating procedures.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
- Understand and implement best practices in warehouse logistics and material handling.
Qualifications:
- Certified Reach Truck Operator with at least 3 years of experience.
- Proficiency in operating specialized material handling equipment.
- Ability to handle tasks involving significant Lifting, often exceeding 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Experience with WMS software is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work shifts, including potential overtime.
