We have an immediate opening for a skilled Forklift Operator in our Cincinnati, Ohio warehouse. In this role, you will operate forklifts to manage the movement of goods, contributing directly to the efficiency of our logistics operations. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory, and ensuring that all items are stored correctly and safely. A keen understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential. This position requires physical dexterity, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining a secure workplace. You will be expected to perform pre-operational checks on your forklift to ensure optimal performance and safety. Accurate record-keeping of movements and inventory will also be part of your duties. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Stack and retrieve inventory from high shelves.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Contribute to a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all established lifting procedures and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and the use of PPE.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
