We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic team in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of materials within our facility, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts, moving materials, stocking inventory, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position is key to our supply chain and requires a proactive approach to material management.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate product counts and damage checks.
- Stock materials in designated storage areas, maintaining organization and accessibility.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company policies.
- Follow all Safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE .
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production and shipping deadlines.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including manual lifting of up to 75 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be willing to wear required PPE, including safety footwear and high-visibility vests.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and accident-free workplace.
