Join our bustling warehouse facility in Baltimore, Maryland, as a Material Handler. We are looking for a reliable and energetic individual to manage the movement of materials throughout our logistics hub. This role is essential for ensuring that products are efficiently transferred, organized, and ready for shipment. You will be responsible for operating various material handling equipment, receiving and storing goods, and preparing items for distribution. A strong commitment to safety and a proactive attitude are key to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Pick and stage materials for production or outbound shipments.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to housekeeping standards.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Follow all company safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
- Be prepared for regular Lifting of materials, up to 60 lbs, throughout the shift.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving significant Lifting.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
