We are hiring a Distribution Center Associate for our busy facility in Washington, D.C. This role is integral to our logistics network, supporting all aspects of warehouse operations including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of goods through our distribution center. A strong commitment to safety is essential, requiring strict adherence to all procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming inventory.
- Stock and organize products within the warehouse.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with accuracy and speed.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through diligent stock checks and cycle counts.
- Uphold all safety standards and regulations, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall logistics functions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs repetitively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
