We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is vital for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our logistics facility. You will operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport inventory, ensuring smooth operations and preventing damage to goods. Your expertise in handling heavy equipment and commitment to safety will be key to your success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials and inventory to designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory management and record-keeping.
- Support overall logistics operations and team goals.
- Inspect received goods for damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements:
Valid forklift operator certification is required. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE. Familiarity with logistics and material handling best practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Must be reliable and safety-conscious.
