We are looking for a dedicated Distribution Center Associate to join our growing team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this vital role, you will contribute to the efficient flow of goods through our state-of-the-art facility. Responsibilities include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. Your commitment to accuracy and efficiency is paramount in supporting our logistics operations. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard. Safety is our top priority; you will be provided with and expected to use all required personal protective equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina, including standing for extended periods, walking, bending, and lifting items up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments.
- Stock merchandise accurately and efficiently in designated areas.
- Pick customer orders using scanning devices and order lists.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Prepare orders for shipping, including labeling and staging.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate various warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. – training provided).
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the distribution center.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of Logistics and supply chain principles.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
