We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our growing logistics team in Washington, D.C. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack products within our distribution center. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will ensure the efficient flow of goods and maintain the integrity of our inventory. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to be a key player in our daily warehouse operations and contribute to a fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Stack and stage products according to warehouse layout and safety guidelines.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment, reporting any issues immediately.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper handling and scanning of goods.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Perform general warehouse duties as assigned.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
