Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new challenge in Atlanta, Georgia? Our bustling distribution center is seeking skilled individuals to manage the movement of goods safely and efficiently. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in our logistics chain, responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting materials throughout the warehouse. This position requires precision, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and an unwavering commitment to safety. You will operate various types of forklifts, including reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts, to move products from receiving to storage, and from storage to shipping areas. The ideal candidate possesses a valid forklift certification and a proven track record of safe operation. We maintain a rigorous safety program, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE, is paramount. This role involves frequent lifting and requires the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport inventory to designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain an organized and safe working environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility vest.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience with RF scanners and WMS is beneficial.
