We are hiring a Warehouse Worker for our Detroit, Michigan facility. This role is integral to the daily operations of our warehouse, involving receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. You will contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of our logistics processes. We are seeking individuals who are physically capable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized working environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory.
- Pick and pack orders accurately based on customer requirements.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with inventory management.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or general labor experience is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 50-75 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
Safety & PPE:
Safety is a fundamental aspect of this role. You will be provided with and expected to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and vests. Proper lifting techniques, safe equipment operation, and adherence to all warehouse safety procedures are mandatory. A strong commitment to maintaining a secure and accident-free logistics environment is essential.
