Our busy Richmond, Virginia facility is looking for reliable and efficient Picker/Packers to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items for customer orders and preparing them for shipment. This position is vital to our operations, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order sheets or scanner data.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects.
- Pack products securely into appropriate shipping containers, using correct packing materials.
- Apply shipping labels and ensure all order documentation is correct.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Participate in inventory control activities, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding any order discrepancies or operational issues.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Must possess the ability to perform consistent Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse Logistics and order fulfillment processes.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and other warehouse technology.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain productivity targets.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to use required PPE , such as safety vests and gloves.
- A dedication to maintaining a safe working environment for all.
