We are looking for a dependable Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position is fundamental to ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods through our distribution center. You will be involved in a range of warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, a commitment to accuracy, and a proactive approach to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials from trucks and other carriers.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage and discrepancies, reporting any issues promptly.
- Store inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and stock rotation.
- Accurately pick items based on order forms or RF scanner instructions.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Prepare orders for shipping, including applying labels and ensuring correct documentation.
- Operate manual and powered equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stocktaking as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or general labor role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and willingness to strictly follow them.
- Commitment to wearing all required PPE, such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential for this role.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks.
