Reports To: Supervisor of Operations/Operations Manager
Purpose
The Aquatics Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, safety, and operational success of the park's aquatic facilities. This role directly supervises lifeguards and aquatic personnel, ensuring safe program delivery, consistent guest service, and compliance with all provincial regulatory standards. The Aquatics Supervisor oversees scheduling, staff training and development, operational readiness, and emergency response within the aquatic environment. They act as the first point of leadership during guest incidents, ride downtime, and first aid situations, ensuring calm, accurate decision-making and timely communication. The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to coach staff while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professional atmosphere for guests and team members alike.
Key Responsibilities
Skills & Abilities
- National Lifeguard (NL) certification
- Standard First Aid & CPR-C (or equivalent)
- Previous aquatic or supervisory experience
- Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- AED, supplemental oxygen, or airway management certifications are considered an asset

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. This position requires occasional work in or around water, confined spaces-cramped quarters, heights, noise, detergents/chemicals, mechanical hazards, moving objects, fumes/odours, dust, mists, gases, or vibrations. The noise level is generally moderate.
