We are looking for a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our bustling logistics hub in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of all outgoing shipments. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, verifying shipment contents, and maintaining shipping records. You will work closely with warehouse staff, inventory control, and customer service to guarantee that all products reach their destination efficiently and without issue. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of shipping procedures. The ideal candidate is proactive, responsible, and dedicated to upholding high standards of accuracy and service in a fast-paced logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation for outgoing shipments.
- Verify the contents of outgoing shipments against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, LTL freight) to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding shipment status and potential delays.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date shipping records and filing systems.
- Ensure all shipments comply with company policies and relevant transportation regulations.
- Operate shipping software and equipment efficiently.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, supporting overall logistics operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Handle the Lifting of packages as required, not exceeding weight limits without assistance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or vocational training is a plus.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and common office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and verification.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Must be able to perform moderate Lifting tasks.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and commitment to wearing required PPE.
