Electrical Designer
with a strong background in
power distribution, lighting, and electrical systems design . You'll deliver detailed electrical design solutions, ensure technical compliance, and act as a key contributor within the electrical design team.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver and verify high-quality electrical detail design outputs Produce and check electrical schematics, cable schedules, and system diagrams Conduct design reviews, audits, and quality assurance activities Support Team Leads and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering stakeholders Provide technical guidance on electrical systems, power distribution, and lighting design Ensure designs meet applicable defence, safety, and engineering standards
About You: Strong background in electrical detail design or electrical engineering Experience with electrical design tools (e.g. AutoCAD, FORAN, or similar) Knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting, and control systems Previous experience working within a Naval Ships or defence environment desirable Good understanding of electrical design processes and quality standards Confident communicator with ability to support and mentor junior team members Apprenticeship, HNC/ONC, or equivalent electrical engineering qualification desirable
