Our operations help facilitate additional growth and training opportunities for all our Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, while maintaining a high-quality operation.Our Operations:Heavy Checks: Heavy maintenance checks on company and customer aircraft.PAL Airlines Flight Line: Daily line maintenance support for Eastern Canada’s largest regional carrier.Our operations are a fast-paced, dynamic operation includes all maintenance checks and repairs carried out in the flight line, i.e. between flights or overnights. This includes layover checks up to A-checks, engine changes, propeller replacements, and scheduled heavy maintenance.Our team currently maintains both DHC-8 and ATR aircraftsOur Locations:St. John’s, NLMontreal, QCWinnipeg, MBDuties & Responsibilities:Maintain/modify/repair aircraft and related components in accordance with company and Transport Canada Regulations;Prepare aircraft for maintenance, repair, and/or modification. Aircraft Management including: assisting with tug and towing procedure, aircraft defueling, and jacking up and down the aircraft. Carry out and coordinate the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of all aircraft and aircraft components including heavy maintenance; Co-ordinate parts and ensure sufficient tools and equipment are made available to accomplish the maintenance and inspection functions; Other duties as assigned based on role specifications. Qualifications and Skills:Required: Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Course completed or have equivalent experience such as FAA Training; or equivalentRequired: Aircraft Maintenance License with a minimum of 5 years of experienceIndividuals who have relevant experience and/or have completed an ICS course will also be consideredAbility to communicate effectively in English, the international language of aviation.Experience in line maintenance or heavy maintenance operations would be considered an asset;Experience on the following aircraft is preferred: Dash 8-100/200/300 and/or Dash 8-400 ATR-42 or ATR-72 The ability to work both independently and in a team environment;Troubleshooting skills;Must possess strong interpersonal, decision-making, organization and communication skills;Knowledge of Transport Canada Regulations is considered an asset;Must be flexible to work all shifts and adapt to fluctuations in shift times due to operational and/or unforeseen situations.Type Course Certification is considered an assetThe standard we strive for is that Aircraft Maintenance Engineers at PAL are Type-Certified on Company Aircraft.
